The McMinnville area has a year-round schedule of community events — fun for the whole family! From UFOs to turkeys, beer to wine…McMinnville has a celebration for you! Of course, you will also want to be sure and check out all the festivities during the peak wine weekends (Memorial Day, Thanksgiving weekend).

Annual Events

The small town charm of McMinnville is celebrated in its many community events.

McMinnville's largest community festival, held on the 2nd weekend of July, celebrates the county's turkey producing history. Turkey Rama is celebrated with a street fair in Historic Downtown McMinnville, the Turkey Trot 8K Run, 5K Run/Walk and 2 Mile Fun Walk, and the World's Largest Turkey BBQ and a top notch carnival.

Yamhill County Fair

Oregon's oldest county fair is held in early August each year. The Yamhill County Fair features old fashioned fair food, rides and exhibits. The fair is also host to a 3-day NPRA Rodeo and top name entertainment.

International Pinot Noir Celebration

IPNC is held in late July of each year. Pinot Noir producers and wine lovers from all over the world come for the 3-day program of seminars, tastings and fine food.

McMinnville Wine & Food Classic

The McMinnville Wine & Food Classic (Sip!) is held each year in early March. This weekend event, held at Evergreen Aviation Museum, features over 100 booths showcasing the state's wine industry, gourmet foods, art and music.

Oregon Brews & BBQs

An annual celebration of great beer, great music, great food and a great cause. Oregon Brews & BBQs will be held September 6th, 7th, and 8th this year in McMinnville's historic Granary District and is a benefit for the "St. James Catholic School" and "Ghana Hope" Don't miss out on experiencing the northwest's best handcrafted beers and BBQ that puts the south to shame! A celebration like no other lands in McMinnville mid-May. With both a serious eye and a lighthearted tone, the festival welcomes believers, skeptics, noted experts, trekkies and everyone in between. Mayor's Charity Ball

Held each year in early February, the Mayor's Charity Ball is a gala event featuring a new theme each year. The event benefits Kids on the Block--a safe after-school enrichment program that builds successful kids.
